(Motors, Pumps, Engines and Alternators)
ERDA has established “Centre of Excellence for Rotating Machines” for type testing of Submersible Pumpsets, Motors, IC Engines, & Alternators as per various IS and IEC standards. ERDA has more than 30 of years experience in the field of Rotating Machines testing. ERDA has world class infrastructure for conducting type test of rotating machines up to 150 HP (110 kW) at 50 Hz & 60 Hz. These facilities are recognized by BIS, BEE, NABL & PESO. Rotating machines (motors & pumps) consume more than 70% energy in industries and agriculture. Further engines & alternators are required for fulfilling the energy short fall in industries & agriculture. Hence, it is important that every rotating machine should be tested for its performance evaluation. The basic objective of such testing is to verify the design & performance and to verify that the motor/pumpset has been manufactured as per recommendation & requirements of relevant standards. In light of the above, ERDA has established following automated test facilities for type testing of rotating machines:
