| R&D is a core activity at ERDA. Some of major R&D achievements are: |

Successfully completed about two hundred sponsored research projects

Developed more than fifty technologies and almost two third of these technologies are commercialised
|

Won several international, national and state awards on innovations such as WIPO international gold medal for best innovation award, three times national NRDC, Government of India award, five times Dr Vikram Sarabhai award of State Government of Gujarat, four times ELECRAMA international product award, India Power Award and several others

|
Respectable IPR portfolio based on innovative R&D
|

|
Published more than five hundred research papers in referred journals and conferences
|
|
|
Guided PhD dissertations of more than ten candidates and ME/M.Tech thesis for more than one hundred students. To encourage R&D in engineering & science among young students, ERDA provides research fellowships to meritorious students
