Privileges of ERDA Members (Annual and Life Members)
 
(Associate Members with Annual Subscription)
 
1 Subscription to ERDA is qualified as business expenditure under section 37 of Income Tax Act. 1971
2 ERDA is notified as a R&D Institute under Section 35 (I) (II) of Income Tax Act. 1961. Contribution paid towards R&D activities of ERDA is exempted from Income Tax up to 150% of the contribution for R & D
3 Participation in training courses/workshops/seminars etc. at concessional rates
4 Annual Members get free access to ERDA’s Documentation Centre for technical reference works. Facility for borrowing of a maximum of 2 library books at a time for a period of 15 days
5 Annual Members get one complimentary copy of quarterly awareness service “Abstract of Current Technical Literature in Electrical Engineering”
6 Annual Members will get complimentary soft copy of “ERDA News”- A quarterly news magazine through email
7 Telephonic/postal/email enquiries on technical reports, conference, proceedings and books etc is available to Annual Members
8 Associate Members get regular information regarding announcements/brochures for seminars/ workshops/ training courses etc. organized by ERDA
9 As a part of knowledge dissemination, members will get a soft copy of various Technical papers presented by ERDA in various National/ International journals/conference
10 ERDA provides R&D services to members for problems faced by member industries
   
   
(Ordinary Member with Annual Subscription)
 
1 Annual members get opportunity to participate in the formulation of policies and steering ERDA activities to industrial needs. This is available by virtue of getting elected to the Managing Committee. Every year, one third of the members of managing committee, who are oldest shall retire and new members are elected
2 The Annual members get concessions in test charges for tests being conducted at any of the ERDA laboratories. (Refer Table No. 1)

15 ERDA provides R&D services to members for problems faced by member industries
16 ERDA can carry out industry/utility specific technical surveys - such as state of the industry. Life members can access the report

* Members can change their category by paying differential amount with necessary Turnover details and get benefits of next category
** Members who have completed 5 years as ERDA ordinary members and wish to become Life members
